Graduate Job Search in Ireland: A Practical Plan
Many large employers open graduate programme applications in the autumn for the following September start, so begin early in your final year rather than after exams.
Use your college careers service for CV checks, mock interviews and employer events. They also circulate roles that are not advertised widely.
Apply to a mix of graduate programmes and direct entry roles. Programmes are competitive, so keep applying to smaller employers in parallel.
Prepare for online tests: numerical, verbal and situational judgement tests are common. Practise timed versions and log in with a quiet space and reliable connection.
Build a short list of target employers, follow them on LinkedIn and message alumni for a short conversation. A polite, specific request gets more replies than a general one.
